Howdy Norbert,
I saw that MySQL 5.1x is available on debian SID since today, but there's some problem with it, it fails to start with:
Peixe:/var/log# /usr/sbin/mysqld --skip-grant-tables
090731 23:30:53 [Note] Plugin 'FEDERATED' is disabled.
090731 23:30:53 InnoDB: Started; log sequence number 0 43715
090731 23:30:53 [ERROR] /usr/sbin/mysqld: unknown option '--skip-bdb'
090731 23:30:53 [ERROR] Aborting
090731 23:30:53 InnoDB: Starting shutdown...
090731 23:30:55 InnoDB: Shutdown completed; log sequence number 0 43715
090731 23:30:55 [Warning] Forcing shutdown of 1 plugins
090731 23:30:55 [Note] /usr/sbin/mysqld: Shutdown complete
Peixe:/var/log#
I think it may be some compilation problem. When I start MySQLD with no arguments I get that.
Could you work on this and give me a hand?
Thanks,
Jorge,
