Package: mysql-client-5.0
Version: 5.0.51a-24
Severity: normal
I've been having problems using webmin to backup mysql since upgraing to lenny. Finally tracked down the problem to mysqldump not accepting my password when passed using an enviroment variable.
I set MYSQL_PWD to my mysql password. Running mysql connects fine but mysqldump fails with:
mysqldump: Got error: 1045: Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: YES) when trying to connect
When running mysqldump with -p option it works fine.
I've tried reintalling mysql-client-5.0 but that didn't help.
