Heyho!

As I've said in my previous bug report, I've installed mysql-server only
because KDE depends on it (IIRC akonadi uses it somehow.)

Sionce akonadi will start a local (as user, opposed to the normal system wide
db) mysql instance by default, there are now presumably many people who have a
mysql-server installed which is not used, but which starts at boot, eats
memory, uses a bit CPU, makes boot and shutdown longer etc.

Is it possible to somehow split mysql so that the part used by applications
like KDE (who use it more like one would use sqlite or berkeleydb, really, but
with the features of a real database) could be used in a dependency without
having a system wide mysql daemon running idle?

cheers
