Package: mysql-server
Version: 5.1.47-1~bpo50+1
Followup-For: Bug #510232

This message is unclear. I have a password set, but this message makes it sound like I don't.

mysqld_safe[22351]: PLEASE REMEMBER TO SET A PASSWORD FOR THE MySQL root USER !
mysqld_safe[22351]: To do so, start the server, then issue the following commands:

mysqld_safe[22351]: /usr/bin/mysqladmin -u root password 'new-password'
mysqld_safe[22351]: /usr/bin/mysqladmin -u root -h orange password 'new-password'

mysqld_safe[22351]: Alternatively you can run:
mysqld_safe[22351]: /usr/bin/mysql_secure_installation

mysqld_safe[22351]: which will also give you the option of removing the test
mysqld_safe[22351]: databases and anonymous user created by default. This is
mysqld_safe[22351]: strongly recommended for production servers.
