[debian-mysql] MySQL 5.5

Heyho!

Is anybody planning to upload mysql 5.5 rc to experimental soonish?

If not: I've got a customer who might be ready to fund ca. 0.5 day
effort to prepare a package; if I could get svn commit access and a
quick outline what the steps are to move from 5.1 to 5.5 I may be able
to at least get started. My naive approach would essentially be

* create a mysql-dfsg-5.5 branch
* global s/5.1/5.5/
* debian/rules get-orig-source

and then look where things start to fall apart.

Disclaimer: I'm not interested in continuing maintenance once funding
runs out, sorry about that. OTOH I promise I won't abuse the svn (you
can always "svn rm svn+ssh://..../mysql-dfsg-5.5" and start over in case
I do something silly, can't you?

(And yes: the customer hasn't agreed to pay yet.)

cheers
