The README's in the respective source trees have already been updated and will
be corrected for the next releases built from these trees. The upcoming 5.5.10
will also include the corrected version.

With regards to the ABI breakage: we had to bump the library version to .18,
as to work around a libtool oddity that appeared on Mac OS X (where the 5.1
shared libraries somehow already identified themselves as "17.0.0" internally,
even though the file name said "libmysqlclient.16.dylib"
