Is there a chance to get the mysql-*-5.1 packages removed manually while
the old libmysqlclient* remains to complete the mysql transition?

I'm seeing more and more piuparts failures because apt selects
mysql-server-core-5.1 to satisly mysql-server-core and gives up afterwards.
