[debian-mysql] Bug#704188: Please increase max lenght for usernames

Package: mysql-server
Severity: wishlist

Since 2006, MySQL has a compile time option to change the max username
lenght:

http://bugs.mysql.com/bug.php?id=16553

It would be nice to increase the limit to something much bigger. The
problem I currently have is that I use the name of my package for the
MySQL username, and that is too big. As a result, preseeding just crashes.
I would suggest that the max lengh is increased up to 128 chars.

Thanks for considering this,
Cheers,

Thomas Goirand (zigo)
