Hi,

just to bring ppl together:

current persons willing to work on mysql-5.6:

Björn Boschman <bjoern at boschman.de>
	willing but questionable able
Akhil Mohan <akhil.mohan at oracle.com>
	seems like ORA has shown up :-)
Ondřej Surý <ondrej at sury.org>
	who will regret his decision
You?

current status of mysql-5.6 within/out debian

http://anonscm.debian.org/viewvc/pkg-mysql/mysql-5.6/
builds and is finally installable (ty Akhil)

as I haven't found a TODO list
next steps from my point of view:

 * migrate mysql-5.6 from SVN -> GIT
some nice person already has create space for us
I've pushed my work from SVN.
As noone beside me committed on SVN I think it's safe to start from here?
http://anonscm.debian.org/gitweb/?p=pkg-mysql/pkg-mysql.git;a=summary

 * more testing on pkg-work
how can we track issues before we can hit jessie/testing?

 * migrate src:mysql-5.6 -> src:mysql
Clint mentioned this to ease things (not running into NEW queue every GA
again)
what else are benefits?
what might be sidekicks?
Stewart Smith from percona mentioned that this will block having several
MySQL major releases running at once. Yes, but is this even
supported/expected? btw Stewart is your company interested in getting
things spped up? What are your items?

Maybe we need names for each of those steps to have a responsible person
and try to collect progress on a more ore less regular base (also to
detect NULL progress / MIA persons)?

Cheers
B
