[debian-mysql] MySQL in jessie

Let me just put in my two cents. I packaged mariadb-client-lgpl
because we're using that library where I work. (It's for an optional
interface that can dump simulation statistics into an SQLite or
MariaDB database on a periodic basis, and/or dump trace information on
certain events.) We can't use either libmysqlclient or the library
compiled as part of mariadb because both of those are GPL-licensed.
We're not using any of the unique features of MariaDB, but we do
document using MariaDB as opposed to MySQL in the product
documentation, due to the forced choice of client library.
So, from my point of view, it would be good if our supported
distributions started including the MariaDB LGPL version of the client
library.
