Hello,

I just wanted to tell as status information that I have upgraded my
Debian packaging of MariaDB 5.5.32 -> .35.

I have extensively reviewed my own work on .32 from the perspective I
have now, and I have compared the contents of debian/* plus the build
logs of both mine and upstream .32 and .35 versions to make sure
everything is there.

It is a big package and it is not fully lintian clean, but it is now a
fully functional .35. The binaries can be downloaded from my repo if
you want to test: http://labs.seravo.fi/~otto/mariadb-repo/?C=M;O=D
(note the timestamps).

As a new feature I now also have versioned build logs. For example the
build log http://labs.seravo.fi/~otto/mariadb-repo/sid-amd64/mariadb-5.5_5.5.35-1_amd64.build-524972e-pbuilder.log
matches the git commit of
https://github.com/ottok/mariadb-5.5/commit/524972e

I haven't yet ran dput to upload, but I have "extended" build testing
by upgrading the builds at
https://launchpad.net/~mysql-ubuntu/+archive/mariadb

I will now continue to work my TODO list at
https://wiki.debian.org/Teams/MySQL/MariaDBPlan and also fix the bug
reports in Debian and Ubuntu that have been submitted related to my
packaging.

Help in testing and fine tuning would be appreciated so we get rock
solid packages. Feel free to e.g. look at the lintian error list and
send me git pull requests with fixes.

James: would you have time to discuss with me the contents and
integration of debian/dists/Ubuntuu/*?
