I'll try to attend. In short MariaDB 5.5 is OK and in Debian testing
and Ubuntu 14.04 universe. MariaDB 10.0 is waiting in the NEW queue
and will eventually come in Debian and Ubuntu. Galera versions are
waiting for the Galera package itself to be packaged as an individual
package called 'galera' (so far it is a part of the upcoming Percona
Cluster packages). I haven't done anything for MariaDB 10.1, but I
expect it to be easy and almost identical to MariaDB 10.0 packaging.

There are still stuff to fine tune in the MariaDB packaging but in
general all is well and I have even managed to upstream some of my
MariaDB improvements.
