[debian-mysql] Bug#764415: mysql-proxy: the package is not well debianized

Package: mysql-proxy
Version: 0.8.1-1.1+b1
Severity: wishlist

the package is not immediatly usable. some minor missing features are:

	a) the debian config in /etc/mysql is not used (for example add
	OPTIONS="--defaults-file=/etc/mysql/my.cnf" in /etc/default/mysql-proxy)

	b) the config parser does not allow legacy style boolean setting (those
	missing the " = true" part) as used in /etc/mysql/my.cnf and the provided
	config hinders startup of the proxy

	c) the "!includedir" directive is not recognized by the proxy

	d) a trivial default config (for example in "/etc/mysql/conf.d/proxy.cnf")
	which includes the minimal settings is not provided

	e) the tutorial samples are missing in the doc folder (there are samples
	"examples/tutorial-*.lua" in the original source, would be helpful to have
	those in /usr/share/doc/mysql-proxy/)

if these small problems would be solved it would be so much easier to use the
package right away.

thanks,
	michael
