Package: libmariadb-client-lgpl-dev-compat
Version: 2.0.0-1
Severity: important
https://packages.debian.org/sid/libmariadb-client-lgpl-dev-compat says:
"MariaDB Client Library for C, compatibility symlinks
MariaDB is a fast, stable and true multi-user, multi-threaded SQL database server. SQL (Structured Query Language) is the most popular database query language in the world. The main goals of MariaDB are speed, robustness and ease of use.
This package includes compatibility symlinks to allow sources expecting the MySQL client libraries to be built against the MariaDB Client Library for C."
The full contents are:
https://packages.debian.org/sid/amd64/libmariadb-client-lgpl-dev-compat/filelist
so it won't work with packages expecting mysql_config to give them the flags
-> it should also ship a mysql_config -> mariadb_config link.
Regards,
Rene
