I know. I hesitated to open the bug against mysql-common, but since it 
seems to be a MariaDB incompatibility, I thought it'd be better to see 
what can be done here.

Patching /etc/init.d/mysql to remove the warning would be an option, 
although it doesn't seem pretty at all.

Maybe investigate why 'disable_log_error' wouldn't work properly. I've 
looked at MariaDB sources (handle_options in mysys/my_getopt.c) and from 
a quick glance, it looks like it should. I haven't found anything in 
MySQL's or MariaDB's documentation about specifying (disable|skip)_* 
after the option is defined earlier.
