Package: mysql-server-5.5
Version: 5.5.44-0+deb8u1
Severity: important
Tags: newcomer
In the default configuration that ships with MySQL Server for amd64
architecture the wrong thread_stack size is configured. Per MySQL
documentation the default thread_stack size for _32-bit_ architectures
should be
192KB. MySQL recommends 256KB for the default size on 64-bit architectures.
We have several 64-bit MySQL servers that have encountered thread stack
overruns
in production because of the incorrect default thread_stack size is set in
the default configuration.
Stable, oldstable, strech and sid are impacted by this.
