That is odd. AFAIK, wheezy was first released with MySQL 5.5.30, which has
this warning message.
As upstream is not likely to change this behavior, I see only two options:
- Close the bug and accept current behavior.
- Apply a patch to remove the warning message. The risk of introducing
regressions is low, but it would make Debian MySQL different from any
other MySQL out there.
