I still don't know how to reproduce the issue. You should put a
copy-paste of your experience here.

If you use the mariadb.org repositories, please don't report bugs
about them into Debian. If you however use the Debian repositories,
then reporting bugs here are OK.

Don't try to install the same packages from two different repositories
and packaging generations, it most likely will end up in failures.
