Lots of missing information about new and changed functionality. Wrong,
in that particular sense.
Just for the mysqldump man page: some details that would apply to the
mysqldump program in MariaDB, taken from the man page from the
mysql-client-5.5 package:
· --apply-slave-statements
For a slave dump produced with the --dump-slave option, add
a STOP SLAVE statement before the CHANGE MASTER TO statement and a
START SLAVE statement at the end of the output. This option
was added in MySQL 5.5.3.
· --dump-slave[=value]
....
This option was added in MySQL 5.5.3.
and for mysql(1):
· --auto-vertical-output
Cause result sets to be displayed vertically if they are too
wide for the current window, and using normal tabular format
otherwise. (This applies to statements terminated by ; or
\G.) This option was added in MySQL 5.5.3.
I could analyze the full text and give you a word-by-word diff if that's
what it takes to establish that MySQL 5.1 < MySQL 5.5.

All man pages are tagged as "MySQL 5.1".

They all seem to be from MySQL 5.1, that's by definition outdated.
