Package: mysql-server-5.6
Version: 5.6.25-4
Followup-For: Bug #792354
Dear Maintainer,
Just updated my system and mysqld failed to start and therefore failed to configure after installation.
The error message I got was:
Starting MySQL database server: mysqld-su: 12: .: Can't open /usr/share/modules/init/sh
After a bit of Internet search I found that this folder is provided by
environment-modules
So installed that package and mysqld started - and configured ok...
Looks like there is a dependency on that package, but is not mentioned
in mysql-server-5.6.
* What led up to the situation?
Update mysqlserver to 5.6 (not sure what version I had before)
* What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
ineffective)? ineffectve: plain update
effective: installing environment-modules
* What was the outcome of this action?
mysql-server-5.6 got started and configured
