Technically I could have uploaded MariaDB 10.0.23 earlier, but I
cannot convince the stable release team or security team to upload it
to Jessie before it has officially been announced as a security update
with CVE identifiers and all.
I Ubuntu there is the Micro Release Exception, so in could have got
5.5.47 uploaded to Ubuntu 14.04 even without explicit security update
motivation. In fact I did prepare the upload and file
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mariadb-5.5/+bug/1524704 on
December 10th, but as it as not a known security update at that time
nobody got interested enough to upload it.. Maybe tomorrow somebody
will as Ubuntu announced the MySQL security notice today, and Ubuntu
people usually accept my security updates in 1-2 days.
