[debian-mysql] Backporting MySQL?

Hi,

We have a requirement to use MySQL 5.6 on our jessie system, and 
happily the local backport was trivial (no source changes were required)
and works fine in our testing. It'd be great to have this available in
the official backports repo so that others can benefit too.

Would people be happy for me to upload a backport of 5.6.30-1
(as of now) to jessie-backports, or would the MySQL maintainers prefer
to be involved directly?
