[debian-mysql] libmysqlclient_r linking fixes

Hi Otto,

I'm going to start sending patches to various Debian packages to link
against libmysqlclient instead of libmysqlclient_r. It has been in my
backlog for a while to do this.

I'm aware that we also need to have the discussion about libmysqlclient
and MariaDB, which I hope to get to next.

I believe that the two things are independent, since MariaDB's
libmysqlclient is also thread-safe since it is ABI compatible with
MySQL's one, so this shouldn't have any impact on a future decision.

I thought I'd mention this now before you start seeing the bug reports
mentioning a transition. We will do the transition I'm sure, but of
course I'm aware that we haven't agreed the details yet.
