That lintian test was added for the mysql->mariadb transition.
It flags all dependencies on the (old) libmysqlclient-dev package name
as bad (s.t. this information is easily available to the maintainer),
but it does not know about the special case being packages built from
src:mysql-X.Y itself, so adding an override there is fine.
(AFAICS there are currently no packages in the archive that need to
depend on something from mysql-x.y because they do not work with
mariadb. From earlier discussions I expected there would be some with
this requirement, these should have been candidates adding a lintian
override for that error, too.)
