Please find attached a patch against the current
mysql-5.7/debian/master branch on alioth.  I have also updated the
github branch for mariadb-10.1 to address the same issue (the one with
a pull request to otto/mariadb-10.1).

It's been tested for upgrades, clean install, remove and purge.
