Dear Team,

We had a sprint in London a few years ago and made significant progress
on cleaning up some old rough edges in the packaging.

It's been suggested that we do the same again, and I've received
provisional approval for Canonical to host this in London again, pending
confirmed dates and attendance numbers.

Some of us have been putting together some proposed goals at
http://pad.ubuntu.com/mysql-sprint (copied below). We're proposing 8-12
January 2017.

Otto: you asked about this on IRC. Would you be able to attend on these
dates?

Lars: now that I have approval, please could you see if you can finalize
attendance, assuming that Otto can make it?

Is anyone else interested in attending, and if so, what specific goals
would you like to focus on?

I think Otto and Lars are probably the most essential people. Once
they've confirmed, I can confirm to Canonical and we can go ahead.

Robie
