install mariadb

* What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
     ineffective)?

need settings in *.cnf file(s)
f.e. 
[mysqld]
max_allowed_packet      = 128M

* What was the outcome of this action?
no *.cnf file settinsg ist used

* What outcome did you expect instead?
settings is used
