For future contributions it is good that you have a Salsa account, so
keep on trying. However this particular fix was already committed in
https://salsa.debian.org/mariadb-team/mariadb-connector-c/commit/fde55bcc0b0a2bd72e6b87959e264d52a6bbea49

I will upload mariadb-connector-c 3.0.6-2 as soon as upstream author
