[debian-mysql] Version of libmariadb2 in stretch has a serious bug

Hello!

Thanks for reporting. Currently there are no bugs filed against
libmariadb2 at all:
https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/pkgreport.cgi?package=libmariadb2
There are no planned fixes to libmariadb2 anymore at this time. All
development goes to libmariadb3.

I guess the reasonable resolution here would be to upload MariaDB
Connector C version 3 (=libmariadb3) to stretch-backports so it would
be available there.
