Hi,
I packaged the MariaDB ODBC connector for internal use, but at the
moment it doesn't look like we'll actually use it. However, I'd like to
make it available for anybody interested, so I pushed it to
https://salsa.debian.org/debian/mariadb-connector-odbc, and wonder if
you'd like to bring it under the mariadb-team umbrella. I've never
tested it, it just builds cleanly. It's also my first encounter with
CMake, so I don't think it's perfect, but I forced it to use the
hardening flags in the end. It wasn't uploaded to Debian.
It builds on stretch as well, if given an updated C connector library.
I notice that mariadb-connector-c was removed, even though the MariaDB
web page strongly promotes its use instead of the client library shipped
with the database engine. In my opinion it should be reconsidered for
licensing reasons at least, to not rely on the GPL exception.
