Huh. The command was this:

$ gbp import-orig ../tarballs/mariadb-10.0_10.0.38.orig.tar.gz

And this is the tarball that I have:

$ md5sum ../tarballs/mariadb-10.0_10.0.38.orig.tar.gz
f2368640c130045501734b4e34d90ed4  ../tarballs/mariadb-10.0_10.0.38.orig.tar.gz

My git-buildpackage version is 0.9.13.

Does it work better if you re-create it?
