[debian-mysql] Bug#968356: transition: mysql-8.0

Package: release.debian.org
Severity: normal
User: release.debian.org at packages.debian.org
Usertags: transition

Though this is a transition, I don't think it requires the usual
coordination with the release team because it won't entangle with
anything.

src:mysql-5.7 generates binary package libmysqlclient20 and is currently
in unstable. However, it is blocked from testing in favour of MariaDB by
order of the release team. Therefore libmysqlclient20 does not exist in
testing.

src:mysql-8.0 is ready in experimental and moves to libmysqlclient21.
I'd like to upload this to unstable.

Packages in unstable that need a MySQL client library build depend on
default-libmysqlclient-dev which sends them in MariaDB's direction. So
while this might be technically considered an unstable-only transition,
it should not affect testing.

The release team will presumably want to move the migration block on
src:mysql-5.7 to also include src:mysql-8.0.

Thanks,

Robie
