Hello everybody who have at some point contributed to the MariaDB
packaging in Debian!

Could you please help in testing and finalizing the mariadb-10.4
packaging in Debian?

Currently I have just finished most of the work involved in importing
latest upstream MariaDB 10.4 into Debian. Currently it is in Debian
experimental and other status info is visible at
https://tracker.debian.org/pkg/mariadb-10.4

There are no open bugs against mariadb-10.4 specifically in Debian
(naturally since just landed in experimental) and a fairly extensive
Salsa-CI shows all basic stuff works OK:
https://salsa.debian.org/mariadb-team/mariadb-10.4/pipelines/110322

I would however appreciate if people with knowledge in Debian
packaging and other best practices could review at least some parts of
the packaging and file Merge Requests on Salsa to tweak the issues
they find important.

Alternatively you can check what Lintian complains (there are a couple
multi-arch and other issues I don't know how to solve correctly) or
look into why s390x builds fail in the test suite phase with a
crashing mysqld (also filed upstream at
https://jira.mariadb.org/browse/MDEV-21705). Other issues (also filed
upstream) are related to the file installation paths are
https://jira.mariadb.org/browse/MDEV-21654 and
https://jira.mariadb.org/browse/MDEV-21653.

Happy hacking!
