[debian-mysql] Error 1045 in mysql

 Hello allioth:

I'm trying to access to  my data base in an ubuntu 18.04 server ( virtual
system) with the following results:

testuser at elturuta:~$ mysql
ERROR 1045 (28000): Access denied for user 'testuser'@'localhost' (using
password: NO)
testuser at elturuta:~$ sudo mysql -u root
ERROR 1045 (28000): Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using
password: NO)
testuser at elturuta:~$ sudo mysql -u root -p
Enter password:
ERROR 1045 (28000): Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using
password: YES)

Could you please give me a helping hand?
