That’s just because mariadb translate the ip in the error message. But the connection is made with 127.0.0.1.
There is a bug upstream : https://jira.mariadb.org/browse/MDEV-27215 . The password input is limited to 80 characters when prompted in interactive
mode. I’m waiting for more infos.
If a patch is made, do you think it could be backported into the debian stable version ?
