Waiting for Ruby library to have a new release, but no idea how long
it will take. I will wait a few weeks and if there is no progress I
will request an autopkgtest override from the release team.

It is too much work to deviate from upstream on such a thing. The good
news is that upstream plans to do this, so we will inherit it in next
major release that lands in Debian.
