Hello, thanks for contacting me! I don't have right now any improvement that comes to mind, but for sure I'll contribute as soon as I find something :)

Hello Gianfranco!

As you have previously submitted at least one improvement to the MariaDB
packaging in Debian, I wanted to notify you that MariaDB 11.8 has entered
Debian[1].

I would be very glad if you have something to contribute again :)

It is a big package and more rewarding work if there are several contributors.

Contributing right now would be a good timing to help Debian Trixie.

You could look at the current open bugs[2] in Debian (or Ubuntu) and help by
triaging/commenting them or taking one up and submit a Merge Request to fix it.
There are many issues from low-hanging config tweaks to harder build/test issues
on less common architectures.

Naturally you could also simply look at the current packaging and give feedback,
or look at what Debian QA systems say about the package or chime in on the
already open Merge Requests[3] to help others land the most optimal improvement.
