[debian-mysql] Bug#1109404: /usr/bin/mytop: Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost'

What was your expectation here? Is there an account configured for
user 'olaf' to access using socket authentication or is there a my.cnf
file for user 'olaf'?

Does "sudo mytop" work, are you able to access using the main database
user the locally running database?
