Sorry for the late reply. I had in mind to reply to the above for a long time.

Given that this package will not be part of trixie, there were two approaches
regarding the RC status of this bug.

Option A. There is already another RC bug on this package so there is no need
to raise this bug to RC.

Option B. There is no need to skip this bug when raising the bugs to RC,
because the end result will be the same (the two RC bugs overlap to
some extent, but that's ok).


I've chosen option B because not making exceptions in the severity raising
simplifies my work.
