Yes, see https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=1107305
Goal is to have MariaDB 11.8 series in Trixie to have upstream LTS and
Debian (LTS) aligned.
You can contribute by helping convince the release team in
https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=1107305 (and also in
https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=1104874) to trust
the maintainer's assessment of stability and low chance of regressions
and allow updates through instead of stopping or slowing them down.
You can also help with code review in
https://salsa.debian.org/mariadb-team/mariadb-server/-/merge_requests/124
or any other open MR at
https://salsa.debian.org/mariadb-team/mariadb-server/-/merge_requests/
to further ensure that all changes are well done and reviews from
multiple people are recorded to increase the trust in the changes.
