OK, you should know that marking mariadb-server on hold also prevents it 
from getting stable updates and security updates, which don't happen 
frequently. An easy work around is to also mark 
mariadb-plugin-provider-bzip2 and whatever plugins you have on hold, or 
just upgrade all of them.

We could make plugins Depends: mariadb-server-core (= ${binray:Version}).
