Package: mysql-client
Version: 9.7.1-1
Severity: serious
User: debian-qa at lists.debian.org
Usertags: fileconflict
Control: affects -1 + mariadb-client-compat

mysql-client has an undeclared file conflict. This may result in an
unpack error from dpkg.

The files
 * /usr/bin/mysqlanalyze
 * /usr/bin/mysqloptimize
 * /usr/bin/mysqlrepair
 * /usr/share/man/man1/mysqlanalyze.1.gz
 * /usr/share/man/man1/mysqloptimize.1.gz
 * /usr/share/man/man1/mysqlrepair.1.gz
are contained in the packages
 * mariadb-client-compat
   * 1:11.8.6-0+deb13u1 as present in trixie
   * 1:11.8.8-0+deb13u1 as present in trixie-proposed-updates
   * 1:11.8.8-1 as present in forky|unstable
 * mysql-client/9.7.1-1 as present in unstable

These packages can be unpacked concurrently, because there is no
relevant Replaces or Conflicts relation. Attempting to unpack these
packages concurrently results in an unpack error from dpkg, because none
of the packages installs a diversion for the affected files.

Kind regards

Helmut Grohne
