[Pkg-nagios-devel] Some bits about check_ping and IPv6

Hi there,

I'm going through the plugin configs right now for evaluating what I need to
modify for migrating to new nagios setup.

I did see, that all checks in ping.cfg are without [-4|-6], so the behavior
is, that if there is no IPv6 enabled on the system, IPv4 is used. If IPv6 is
enabled on the system, so IPv6 is used with this checks by default.
If I want to check IPv4 connetivity on a IPv6 system, I have to add all these
checks by hand.

Do we wonna ship in ping.cfg all checks additionaly with a "_4"-trailer and
a "-4" in the command_line?

So default the normal checks are used and if anybody wants to used IPv4 checks
on a IPv6 enabled sysem, the "_4"-checks can be used.

How's your opinion about that?

With kind regards, Jan.
