check_by_ssh --help includes the following:
 -w, --warning=DOUBLE
    Response time to result in warning status (seconds)
 -c, --critical=DOUBLE
    Response time to result in critical status (seconds)

Attempting to use either option results in an error:
/usr/lib/nagios/plugins/check_by_ssh: invalid option -- c
/usr/lib/nagios/plugins/check_by_ssh: invalid option -- w
