Package: nagios2
Version: 2.6-2+etch2 i386
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable
When trying "apt-get install nagios2" in a clean Debian Lenny install you'll get:
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
nagios2: Depends: libperl5.8 (>= 5.8.8) but it is not going to be installed
E: Broken packages
the try "apt-get install libperl5.8" and you'll get:
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
libperl5.8: Depends: perl-base (= 5.8.8-11.1+lenny1) but 5.10.0-19 is to be installed
E: Broken packages
and I see that perl-base version is 5.10:
nagios-safeview:~# apt-cache show perl-base
Package: perl-base
Essential: yes
Priority: required
Section: perl
Installed-Size: 4089
Maintainer: Brendan O'Dea <bod at debian.org>
Architecture: i386
Source: perl
Version: 5.10.0-19
I see that in other architectures (not i386) this dependency doesn't exist.
Thanks in advance and great work!!!
