[Pkg-nagios-devel] Bug#553021: nagios3-cgi: fails to install at postinst

Package: nagios3-cgi
Version: 3.2.0-1
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable

install of nagios3 fails on nagios3-cgi with the following error:

  Setting up nagios3-cgi (3.2.0-1) ...
  dpkg: error processing nagios3-cgi (--configure):
  subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 10
  dpkg: dependency problems prevent configuration of nagios3.

a manual run of the extracted postint script returns the follwing error:

  Can't exec "postinst": No such file or directory at /usr/share/perl/5.10/IPC/Open3.pm line 168.
  open2: exec of postinst failed at /usr/share/perl5/Debconf/ConfModule.pm line 59

I am not sure where to look next ...
