Seems to be the safe alternative, yes.

here, we probably better describe what make ppl choose
Netsaint/Nagios/Icinga: modularity and availability of dozens of
plugins designed to monitor nearly everything.

Of course, that makes quite a serious pile of words. 

I don't really have any preference, at the end.
