[Pkg-nagios-devel] check_multi and other out-of-tree plugins

I am wondering whether check_multi
(http://www.my-plugin.de/wiki/projects/check_multi/start) would be a
good addition to Debian. Actually, I think yes.

Naturally, check_multi, being in its own tarball with configure script
and makefile, would be best packaged as a dedicated source package,
but I do have my doubts that ftpmaster would actually like that. What
do you think? Should I take a go in packaging up a check-multi package
(which would probably be named nagios-plugin-check-multi)?

While we're at it, which SCM is currently being actively used? I can
svn update my ancient local working copy of nagios3 just fine and the
code therein looks current, but the alioth page doesn't refer to svn
any more and points to git clone
which gives me an empty repository.
