Severity: normal

Hi.

The postrm of at least both of the nagios-nrpe packages tries to remove
/var/lib/nagios when this is empty.

While no regular files are removed, this is the homedir of the nagios
user which is not removed and which is also possibly still used by other
packages (e.g. icinga-*) which uses the nagios user, too.

Best would be if there was kind of a nagios-common-basic package or so,
which does nothing but creating (and removing) the user/group.
All nagios/icinga packages could depend on it.
Thereby you'd also solve the problem of a stale nagios user/group, which
both are left over now, whenever any of these packages was installed ever.

Chris.
