[Pkg-net-snmp-devel] Bug#434884: snmptrapd does do hostname resolution anymore

Package: snmpd
Version: 5.3.1-7

Hello,

following testing I noticed a change in behavior of snmpdtrapd. (The
need to configure authentication now is described the man page, so at
least documented somewhere)

With the supplied traptoemail script, I used to get mail which the
hostname in it. Now it says only Host: <UNKNOWN> (UDP:
[172.20.8.6]:57527) in the first line and the subject of the message,
which is annoying.

Dig, host etc. are all able to resolv the IP properly to the hostname,
only snmptrapd seems to have problems.

Bye,

Joerg
